I’m Hieran*

Having graduated in 2012 with a BA Hons. in Graphic Design, I discovered my true passion further down the road in 2018 when I decided to shift gears and delve into the world of motion. To the present day I work as a generalist and enjoy being across multiple areas of the motion pipeline.

From working in the graphic design industry, I found myself having to be increasingly adaptive and constantly learning new skills to stay relevant. The requirements for a traditional graphic designer were fast evolving into multi disciplinary roles due to the digital shift.

Through my hunger to always keep learning, a pivotal moment arose when I stumbled upon a tutorial on crafting 3D typography, igniting a journey that led me to apply for my first role in a motion design studio after dedicated self-study and experimentation with various software.

Despite the apparent disparity from my graphic design origins, I consistently apply fundamental principles such as form versus function, colour theory, hierarchy, and composition, infusing brands' communication with dynamic motion. My ever evolving drive still remains and I’m always dabbling in new software’s and learning techniques to enhance my workflow and push the boundaries of motion design.

I’m a firm believer in sharing knowledge too, I love to learn and equally feel great comfort in being able to enrich others - this, I believe, is what being a team player is all about.

When I’m not motioning, you will find me navigating the world of early years parenting. My family are my ultimate driving force and motivate me to stay humble and remain hungry in everything I do.
